succes comercial incepand cu anii 90' , mai exact cu aparitia trupelor precum
Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc. Acest stil a debutat precum unul muzical, caracterizat
prin chitari electrice puternice.
In plan vestimentar stilul 'grunge' este reprezentat de aspectul uzat, uneori neingrijit cum ar fi : blugi rupti, pulovere si camasi foarte largi, jachete, tricouri cu imprimeuri rock si o incaltaminte cat mai lejera ( tenisi, ghete ) de culoare inchisa.
